1. Agreement to Terms
By booking services with 1836 Moving or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or website.
2. Services
1836 Moving provides residential and commercial moving, packing, storage coordination, furniture assembly, junk removal, TV mounting, and related services in the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas. All services are subject to availability and must be scheduled in advance.
3. Estimates and Pricing
All estimates are based on information supplied by the customer at the time of booking. Final pricing may vary if actual conditions differ from those described. Additional services requested on moving day are subject to additional charges.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Providing accurate information about the size, scope, and nature of the move
- Ensuring adequate parking and access for moving vehicles at both locations
- Securing any required elevator reservations, permits, or building approvals
- Being present or having an authorized representative present during the move
- Disclosing any fragile, high-value, or specialty items in advance
- Ensuring all items are properly packed unless packing services were arranged
5. Liability and Valuation
1836 Moving is fully licensed and insured. Liability is governed by applicable Texas state law and our carrier insurance policy. We are not liable for improperly packed items, pre-existing damage, undisclosed high-value items, or conditions beyond our control. Customers with items valued over $500 are encouraged to obtain additional third-party coverage.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Please notify us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
7. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. Unpaid balances may be subject to collection proceedings.

9. Prohibited Items
- Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or explosives
- Perishable food items
- Live animals or plants
- Illegal substances or contraband
- Firearms or ammunition (unless arranged in advance per applicable law)
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1836 Moving shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from our services.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Texas.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
